Under the initiative of R20 Brazil, Advantage Austria Sao Paulo and E-Cloud Energy corporation and following a visit of the Aspern Seedstadt urban development project last December, a potential replication was identified in the city of Sao Carlos. The Smart City Workshop provided an opportunity for Austrian and Brazilian industry leaders to share their expertise and know-how on smart city related technologies, as well as a platform to formalize a partnership agreement between Aspern Seestadt, represented by Gerhard Schuster, Advantage Austria Sao Paulo, represented by Stefan Nemetz, E-Cloud Energy Corporation, represented by Luis Araujo Filho, the City of Sao Carlos, represented by Carlos Colenci, and R20 Brazil, represented by Jorge Pinheiro Machado.

This partnership agreement is also supported by Ambassador of Brazil to Austrian, H.E. Mr. José Antônio Marcondes de Carvalho and Austrian Ambassador to Federative Republic of Brazil, Dr. MMag. Dr. Irene Giner-Reichl.
